A tourist resort with a busy fishing harbour in a newly rebuilt harbour just south of Malaga (Spain) with berths for. Facilities and security are good and whilst certain services are still to be completed, it's possible to berth here.
Warning: the increasing unrest in Morocco led to demonstrations and many arrests in Al Hoceïma and other northern ports in mid 2017. The U.K. Foreign Office has not discouraged tourists, but does urge caution.

Clearance can be completed here and the procedure is reported to be straightforward with all officials coming to the boat. Friendly officers but expect multiple visits by the police, the Royal Gendarmerie, the employees of the port. Note that the berths outside the Customs building are for impounded vessels only.

Fuel is currently available in the adjacent fishing harbour, although a pump is planned for the marina.
It is a 30 minute steep climb into town or take a small local taxi for very little cost.
A big shopping mall in town with a supermarket called "Marjane" which has a good range of provisions. The local Soukh is well worth a visit and a good place to buy fresh produce, meat and poultry.
