Coordinates: 038° 3.970' N , 020° 45.245' E
Country: Greece

Description

1. The quay described in Heikel is a challenge, the approach channel is surrounded by rocks awash, inside the harbour we got down to 1.7m depth and slowly reversed out the way we came in and set course for Zakinthos.

2.  We went by road to check this anchorage out and immediately decided that it was not suitable due to rocks and the prevailing winds at the time.  Use as an emergency only.

Difficult to find a spot to drop your anchor. This part of the bay is covered with underwater rocks. Many of them have less than 2 m water above them. Once you're in you could have difficulties to find your way out without hitting rocks.
