Port police officer is situated on the north quay next to ferry dock. They will issue you with a crew list document to be completed by the captain, they photocopy passports and send you onto the harbour masters office.(Large building behind the tourist boats) In this office if you have a current Dekpa, (cruising permit) it will be stamped. Should you require a new Dekpa, €50 will be charged (valid for one-year) The date stamped on this document, (for us 23rd July 2018)  now begins your cruising year, in order to maintain this document for additional years, we must return to Greece before 23rd July 2019. This will extend the permit for a maximum of four years. The €50 must be paid into a bank using the document provided by the harbour master. Banks are not open over weekends or bank holidays, if you arrive over the weekend you must stay in port until the Monday bank opening, this could be somewhat inconvenient.

Staff are great, communicate excellently and are very friendly in all official buildings.
