This beach resort on the southernmost part of the coast is busy in peak season, but quiet in winter. An 850 berth marina offers competitive discounts, making this a popular site for wintering afloat, with sufficient numbers to create an active social life. Expensive in the summer.
Excellent shelter once inside, but some silting in the entrance so be cautious. Call the marina office on VHF 74 to check depths before attempting to enter.
The local town is a few minutes walk along the seafront, and has a great selection of bars and cafes.

We're in our second winter living aboard here and love it. Great place, and superb people.

We are into our third winter here and would happily come back for the community of live-aboards, the protection of the marina, the mild temps in winter, and the number of children on boats. The beach is 2 min away, and the town is safe, clean and next to the marina.
