Cristal clear water, excellent diving and snorkelling. Many restaurants and supermarkets. A great little town with friendly people.
The 44 town moorings buoys (red) in front of town quay are owned by the National Marine Park and cost USD $10 + 6% tax per day for boats up to 55 feet. Bigger boats will be directed to the marina. Contact the Harbour Village Marina on Ch. 17 or Tel: +599 717 7500 or email email@example.com before picking up a mooring. If arriving when offices are closed (Sunday), pick a buoy and contact the marina office Monday morning.
The moorings to the north, closer to Harbour Village Marina, tend to be quieter than the ones closer to town. Use your own lines. The town moorings are protected by the Klein Bonaire island just to the northwest. However, can become uncomfortable on south-westerly winds.
Dive moorings have a yellow marker and can only be used for a very short term. The Marine Park has well-marked mooring buoys all along the coast and around Klein Bonaire for diving/snorkelling.
