Description

No long a town quay, it is now run by the marina and they charge marina prices :-( there are some lazy lines down the far end around the corner but most of it is anchor. No facilities, shelter is OK,  quite noisy from the bars all night and then the trip boats in the morning.  Not our sort of place, if you are looking for a party and are happy to pay, go for it.

July 2018 €29 for 13.4m. Water and electricity, charged, on the quay.

Berths can be booked via Kos Marina.

There are about 12 berths with tailed lines in the SE corner, we saw numerous boats that used their anchors pick-up other chains or debris on departure.

Good protection in a strong Meltemi, only a light slop works it's way in.

Our 5 day stay here was better than expected. along the promenade there are numerous bars but these didn't really disturb us moored under the castle wall. There are lots of people wandering down the quay either en-route to the ferry terminal or just strolling, great for people watching.

Kos harbour has indeed been taken over by the Marina staff, prices are rather high with water and electricity extra. Anchor fouling very common, be prepared! Try mooring in the area just beside ferry terminal (read its review)
