Coordinates: 036° 44.310' N , 026° 58.358' E
Country: Greece

Anchor: in 15ft over white sand with very clean water. This is a huge bay but is well protected from the Meltemi;
Also space for several boats on the south side of the quay.
Ashore: we rented a car for Euro30/day from 08:00hrs till 20:00hrs (not for the usual 24 hrs). It is a good deal because you can do the whole island and stop at the Lidl supermarket that is right on the highway. Plenty of tavernas and cafes along the shore, many with dinghy pontoons in the summer.

Offers protection from wind directions

Anchorage good, swell picks up over day. Meltemi filtering between hillsides, does generally settle after sunset.

Sandy bottom, depth suddenly changes from 30 meters to 6, however remains at 6 until close to shore.

Plenty of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Car hire available, water can be found within fishing harbour. It is possible to tie to harbour wall on west side, depth 4 meters. Electric available if you fancy linking four cable to reach the electric box!

Tanker vessel moors on south side of harbour overnight on a Monday.

Anchored in 6m about 200m off the beach in crystal clear water over white sand. Good holding even in a blow and no swell when the Meltemi is blowing. Heikell suggests the area near the island is favoured but the area near the small harbour seems to be more popular and easier to get ashore.
