Stromboli is the black pearl of the Aeolian Islands. The island of Stromboli consists of two towns: Ginostra and Stromboli, as well as an actively erupting volcano. It is possible to see the brilliant red eruption from your yacht at night.
Ginostra is located on the western coast of Stromboli is small coastal town with offshore anchorage and tiny port, which was once the smallest in the Mediterranean. There is a small pier, used primarily for ferry docking. Is possible to anchor near to the pier. This small town is located up on a cliff and offers spectacular views of the westward Aeolian Islands. There is a small mini market, and a handful of bars and restaurants.
Stromboli is located on the eastern coast of Stromboli, and is much larger in size and population than Ginostra. Stroll through the streets, there are no street lights and only electric vehicles; black sand beaches. Anchor on a sandy seabed offshore of Stromboli.
Strombolicchio is located 1,6 km offshore the coast of Stromboli.
Don't miss: hike up from Stromboli with a guide (required) to the top of the volcano at sunset, a 2/3 hour trek up, and admire the continuous volcanic activity.
