A marina with no facilities next to a shipyard with a pier. A useful place to wait for a tide that allows you to approach Bartica towards high tide (approximately 4 hours after high tide at Roeden Rust which is approximately 1 hour after high tide at the bar).
Anchor: off the pier 4-6m water, allowing for tidal range and swinging. This anchorage is more comfortable than Parika but still somewhat chop in normal trade wind conditions.
Ashore: buses and taxis (100Guy$ per person) run to Parika.
Land the dinghy at the shipyard pier. If you plan to check-in in Bartica you should not land. However, the marina owner, Capt. Cleo Da Silva, tel (592) 262- 0290; 610-14-05; 678-1001, can assist you with minor emergencies or small amounts of fuel should you need.
