Description
Mindelo is where most yachts go for a quick refuelling stop, but it is worth lingering longer to explore this restored colonial town. The city of Mindelo is known as the cultural capital of Cape Verde. The town is situated at the edge of a subsided volcano crater, the harbour is naturally formed and is one of the most protected in the archipelago.

The harbour master's office will show you where to go for the formalities. the captaincy, located in the commercial port, and immigration.

Showers and laundry at Club Nautico. Fuel in the marina

Good food at Nella's

Warning: entry the bay in the night can be dangerous as there are many wrecks; it is better to enter the bay through the W.

Price for a 13m yacht in December is around 30€ a day. Price includes some water (2 cents per litre if you go over your limit), electricity is an additional 2€ per day.
