When approaching Suriname check-in with the Maritime Authority Suriname (MAS) on VHF 16 or 12. Clearance procedures are fairly relaxed. You may check in next working day but not later than two days at arrival in port.
Step 1 of clearing into Suriname process
Report to MAS and fill in their Notice at arrival and the Declaration of Health forms online (NEW) from the link below or completed at their office. Bring 4 copies of the crew list (name, nationality, passport number), passports of all crew members and a photo of your yacht (MAS can also print from your tablet or phone). After completion you will receive a copy of your registration to present to the Military Police (step 3).
Contact MAS on VHF12
