Description
Moor: the marina (370 berths) is divided into
  • City port (VHF 8)  in the port after the gas station, in front of cafeteria; max. 3 days; cheap!
  • the Real Club Nautico (VHF 9) on the north pier.
Ashore: all boat suppliers, Ferreteria (hardware store), 3 large supermarkets within walking distance, doctors and many restaurants. Very good place for provisioning. A small yard.
Don't miss:
  • The old Pollença town about 5 km inland and its historical center with old churches, a monastery and beautiful squares. Highly recommended climb to the Puig de Maria south of the old town (do not drive up the car, you can not turn or park at the top) and admire the breathtaking views of Pollença, the Bahia de Alcudia , the Bahia de Pollença and the capes Formentor and Pinar.
  • The Cabo Formentor is worth seeing from land.

We spent a few days in mid-Nov. The marina was very quite and the town had most of the shops closed. As the entry said, shopping is a close walk from the marina and even off season, there are still enough things open to make the stop worth while.

Marina staff (we stayed at the Club Nautico) was very pleasant and treated us very well.
